DISCUSSION
Children’s Institute Inc., will subcontract with the City of Long Beach (City) Health and Human Services Department (Health Department) for Safe Children and Strong Families (SCSF) program services, contingent upon receipt of a fully executed contract with the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). The purpose of the SCSF Program is to ensure the physical, emotional, social, and educational development of children in safe and nurturing environments.

Children’s Institute Inc., seeks to partner with the Health Department to improve the lives of children and families in the greater Long Beach area. Health Department staff will: 1) provide case management services for Children’s Institute Inc., referred cases; 2) coordinate, monitor, and report on referred client caseload to Children’s Institute Inc.; and, 3) provide Children’s Institute Inc., with the required case management information to attest to the improvement in the lives of children and families experiencing violence and/or neglect in their homes.
