Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to amend Contract No. 36292 with California Surveying and Drafting Supplies, Inc., of Sacramento, CA, to furnish and deliver Trimble Alloy Global Navigation Satellite Systems, base station receivers, hardware and related software for subsidence monitoring activity, to increase the annual contract amount by $200,000, with a 10 percent contingency in the amount of $36,000, for a revised annual contract amount not to exceed $396,000 at the discretion of the City Manager. DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 36292 with California Surveying and Drafting Supplies, Inc. (CSDS), to furnish and deliver Trimble Alloy Global Navigation Satellite Systems, base station receivers, hardware and related software for subsidence monitoring activity.
On April 12, 2022, City Council awarded a contract with CSDS, as part of its adoption of Resolution No. RES-22-0054 to furnish and deliver Trimble Alloy Global Navigation Satellite Systems, base station receivers, hardware and related software for subsidence monitoring activity for a period of two years.
On August 2, 2022, City Council authorized an amendment to Contract No. 36292 to increase the contractual authority by $36,000, inclusive of the contingency, for a revised annual contract amount not to exceed $176,000. City Council action is requested to increase the annual contract amount by $200,000, with a 10 percent contingency in the amount of $36,000, for a revised annual contract amount not to exceed $396,000. The requested additional procurement authority will ensure continuity of service, includes potential price increases, and that software and equipment is replaced.
