DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into a contract with Computer Aid, Inc., for providing managed services for information technology and IT staff augmentation.

In 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution No.18-0092 to utilize the terms and conditions afforded to Contract No. 020817 ("NJPA Contract"), to install and configure information technology systems as well as provide managed services for information technology and IT staff augmentation. On March 3, 2022, that NJPA Contract expired with no renewal options. Since the expiration of the previous contract (No. 020871), Sourcewell has awarded a new Contract (No. 071321) for these services.

Computer Aid, Inc., was selected as one of three vendors from cooperative agreements to provide technology-related equipment and software to meet critical technology infrastructure needs such as replacing outdated technology that is becoming unreliable and will not support new systems in the new Civic Center. Throughout the last few years, Computer Aid, Inc., has provided a substantial portion of the technology and associated installation services for the City of Long Beach’s (City) data center, network communications, audio/video systems, security cameras, and cyber security systems.
