TITLE
Recommendation to adopt resolution authorizing City Manager, or designee, to execute a contract, and any necessary documents including any necessary subsequent amendments, with Computer Aid, Inc., of Allentown, PA, for providing managed services for information technology and IT staff augmentation, on the same terms and conditions afforded to Sourcewell, formerly National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), in a total annual amount not to exceed $1,250,000, until the Sourcewell contract expires on September 10, 2025, with the option to renew for as long as the Sourcewell Contract is in effect, at the discretion of the City Manager. DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into a contract with Computer Aid, Inc., for providing managed services for information technology and IT staff augmentation.
In 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution No.18-0092 to utilize the terms and conditions afforded to Contract No. 020817 ("NJPA Contract"), to install and configure information technology systems as well as provide managed services for information technology and IT staff augmentation. On March 3, 2022, that NJPA Contract expired with no renewal options. Since the expiration of the previous contract (No. 020871), Sourcewell has awarded a new Contract (No. 071321) for these services.
Computer Aid, Inc., was selected as one of three vendors from cooperative agreements to provide technology-related equipment and software to meet critical technology infrastructure needs such as replacing outdated technology that is becoming unreliable and will not support new systems in the new Civic Center.
