TITLE
Recommendation to City Council to receive and file recognition of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Parade & Celebration Planning Committee.
DISCUSSION
Once again, the 2005 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Parade & Celebration
proved to be an unqualified success, bringing joy and excitement to the over 20K
people who attended or participated. In recognition of the outstanding work done
by the MLK Planning Committee in the organization and execution of this great
event, 1 respectfully request that we, the Mayor and City Council, acknowledge
their dedication, perseverance and hard work that culminated in the wonderful
experience we all shared.
