TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $2,000, offset by the Eighth Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department, to provide a donation of:
1. $2,000 to Crossroads Church First Assembly for the 12th
Annual Back to School event; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $2,000, to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
Crossroads Church First Assembly is a non-denominational Christian church located in Long Beach, California. They believe that everyone is welcome at their church, regardless of their background or beliefs.
Crossroads Church First Assembly offers a variety of ministries and free programs including food distributions, recovery groups, school supply drives, and clothes distributions. They offer services that help people of all ages grow and connect with others. Crossroads Church is committed to serving those in need, and their work makes a real difference in the lives of many residents.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution of $2,000 to Crossroads Church First Assembly. to support their causes as written above.
The appropriation increase of $2,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of the Eighth Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
