DISCUSSION
Friends of Miracle on Fourth Street (FOMO4S) was established in 2022 by local neighborhood leaders in order to activate Miracle on Fourth Street Park. Their mission was to establish a Butterfly Way-Station in the park to help migrating Monarch butterfly populations. Their first planters were placed in the park in January of 2023, and they will be hosting a grand opening on August 5th, 2023 to showcase the caterpillars that have made the new park amenity their home. A $150 contribution to Partners of Parks for this event will provide more native Milkweed plants to sustain the caterpillars through metamorphosis until hatching.

Rose Park Neighborhood Association is a community benefit organization that was established in 1999 with a mission of connecting neighbors and fostering a positive identity Rose Park across Long Beach. Rose Park Neighborhood Association is hosting their annual Rose Park Picnic on July 16th, 2023. There will be a potluck, lawn games, and crafts for the children. A $250 contribution to Rose Park Neighborhood Association for this event this event will provide support to the food, beverages, and craft supplies.
