TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay sum of $75,000, in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Gene Parsons v. City of Long Beach, et al., Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. 20STCV10433.
DISCUSSION
Plaintiff alleges she tripped and fell over a raised portion of sidewalk on April 1, 2019, resulting in injuries.
Following extensive negotiations, Plaintiff agreed to accept $75,000.00 inclusive of costs and fees - as a full settlement of this case.
The settlement was discussed in closed session, and approved, by the Government Operations and Efficiency Committee (Attorney/Client) on June 20. 2023.

Approve recommendation.
