TITLE

DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into a contract with Skyhigh Building Maintenance to provide annual cleaning services to power wash over approximately 135,000 square feet of the existing exterior dome surface. The contractor will utilize the current roof access chair system and tie off to anchor points installed around the dome's peak using rope and rope grab personal arrest systems to clean the upper and lower perimeter, to ensure that the exterior is cleaned improving the appearance to guests and rejuvenating the aesthetic of the Dome.

The bid was advertised in the Long Beach Business Journal on April 4, 2023, and five potential bidders specializing in exterior cleaning services were notified of the bid opportunity. Of those bidders, five downloaded the bid via the City’s electronic bid system. The bid document was made available from the Purchasing Division, located on the sixth floor of City Hall, and the Division’s website at www.longbeach.gov/purchasing . A bid announcement was also included in the Purchasing Division’s weekly update of Open Bid Opportunities, which is sent to 44 local, minority-owned, and women-owned business groups.
