TITLE

DISCUSSION
The annual Long Beach Touch-A-Truck event is taking place on Sunday, May 7, 2023. This event is free and open to the public and provides an interactive educational component for children and adults who are interested in learning about different transportation vehicles. Furthermore, the event is accepting food donations for community-based organizations assisting the City with homelessness outreach efforts. The Long Beach Fire Museum participates in the event by showcasing one antique fire apparatus in the display. A $500 contribution to the Long Beach Firemens Historical Society will support the ability for the Fire Museum to continue participating in this event.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to the Long Beach Firemens Historical Society in support of the Long Beach Fire Museum. The total appropriation increase of $500 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of $250 from the Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds and $250 from the Fourth Council District OneĀ­time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department.
