DISCUSSION
Public Strategies, Inc. (PS), as the Office of Family Assistance (OFA) Technical Assistance (TA) provider for the National Responsible Fatherhood Alliance (NRFA), has awarded the City of Long Beach (City) a $35,000 grant to support the Health and Human Services Department (Health Department) Fundamentals of Fatherhood Project (FFP), for the period of April 1, 2023 through October 31, 2023. The award provides compensation for and monitoring of City of Long Beach performance achievements and milestones for two (2) FFP participants.

The FFP integrates public health, social services, workforce development and evidence-based practices to ensure that children are healthy, safe, and emotionally secure. Together with partners, the FFP strives to reduce family conflict and enhance family stability; increase fathers’ economic stability to financially provide for a child’s well-being; and establishes a citywide fatherhood response network to sustain project impacts.
