TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $2,075, offset by the Third Council District One-Time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department, to provide donations of:
1. $1,700 to the Friends of Belmont Shore to support their Summer
Community Concert;
2. $375 to the Belmont Heights Community Association to support
their Egg Hunt in the Heights; and
Decrease appropriation in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $2,075, to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
Friends of Belmont Shore is committed to enriching the quality of life in Belmont Shore and surrounding areas through a platform of interests, concerns and advocacy. The Summer Community Concert strengthens our community by bringing residents together for a positive activity.
The Belmont Heights Community Association is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our neighborhood through the actions of residents who volunteer their time, skills, and energy by working closely with neighbors, historic districts, local businesses, schools, community organizations, the 3rd district council office, and City staff. Egg Hunt in the Heights is a free event bringing the community together for some family fun.

Staff will consider issues of equity and access with any program proposals brought forward to ensure the City’s commitment for everyone reaching their highest level of health and potential for a successful life, regardless of background, neighborhood, or identity.
