TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit two Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay 1) $125,642.50 for Stipulations with Request for Award with a life pension thereafter of $77.31 per week and also 2) separate authority to pay $111,142.50 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Keith Mullally.

 

DISCUSSION

Keith Mullally has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Government Operations and Efficiency Committee on March 21, 2023, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of two Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Keith Mullally, based upon 1) a 70 percent disability rating with further provision for a life pension at the rate of $77.31 per week after the permanent disability has been paid, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and 2) a 64 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary

Approve recommendation.
