TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $300, offset by the Sixth Council District One-Time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide
Activities Department to provide a donation to the Long Beach Central Area Association support the Black History Month “Lifting Voices” event; and
Decrease appropriations of the Sixth Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $300 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
In celebration of Black History Month, the Long Beach Central Area Association is partnering with California Recreation Center at McBride Park to co-host an event for seniors called “Lifting Voices” on February 3, 2023 at McBride Park - Social Hall from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The Long Beach Central Area Association is devoted to presenting arts and educational programs that promote diversity and human dignity. The event will feature songs, music, and fun for seniors.
FISCAL IMPACT
No Financial Management review was able to be conducted due to the urgency and time sensitivity of this item.
