DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 36190 with Katherine England, for the design and construction of mosaic sculpture art pieces for the Red Car Greenbelt public park (Park) to extend the term of the contract for a period of six months.

On November 9, 2021, the City Council awarded a contract to Katherine England for the design and construction of mosaic sculpture art pieces for the Park. Katherine England is producing three mosaic sculpture art pieces, inspired by the native flowers planted in the Greenbelt, and are an improvement for public recreation at the Park. The current contract expires on December 14, 2022.

To allow sufficient time to complete the art pieces and deliver them for installation, a contract amendment is requested to extend the contract term.

This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Anita Lakhani on October 17, 2022 and by Budget Analysis Officer Greg Sorensen on October 27, 2022.
