TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by the First Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department, to provide a contribution to Centro CHA in support of Back-to-School Community Resource Fair and Vaccination Clinic; and

DISCUSSION
On Thursday, August 25th, Centro CHA will be hosting a free Back-to-School Community Resource Fair and Vaccination Clinic featuring a community resource fair and vaccination clinic at Cesar Chavez Park from 5pm to 8pm. This family fun event will bring resources such as COVID-19 vaccinations for everyone, with gift cards available for any parents of early aged children that get vaccinated, games, art, nonprofit resources, and a giveaway of 100 backpacks. It is important that we support this event as the surrounding neighborhood has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the 90802-zip code, school supplies will be provided for free to 100 children, and many resources will be shared to the community by local nonprofits. It is appropriate for the City Council to support a funds transfer to Centro CHA in support of Back-to-School Community Resource Fair and Vaccination Clinic.
