TITLE
Recommendation to adopt resolution approving a list of projects citywide for repaving and resurfacing that are proposed to receive Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account funding in a total estimated amount of $10,661,747 in the Fiscal Year 2023 Paving Program. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to adopt a Resolution approving a list of projects proposed to receive Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) funding for Fiscal Year 2023 (FY 23).
Senate Bill 1 (SB 1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (Chapter 5, Statutes of 2017), was passed by the California State Legislature and signed into law by the Governor in April 2017, to address significant multi-modal transportation funding shortfalls statewide. The City of Long Beach (City) will receive an estimated $10,661,747 in RMRA funding for FY 23. This RMRA funding will be part of the proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) work in FY 23 designated to maintain and upkeep the City's roadway assets through a series of street improvement projects, which also include: Capital Projects Fund, Measure A, Los Angeles County (County) Measures M and R, and County Propositions A and C.

· Obispo Avenue (4th to 7th Streets)
· Carroll Park East (Carroll Park North to East 4th Street)
· Carroll Park East (East 3rd Street to Carroll Park North)
· Fidler Avenue (Sandwood Street to Del Amo Boulevard)
· Pearce Avenue (Arbor to Del Amo Boulevard Service Roads)
· Hersholt Avenue (Arbor Road to Del Amo Boulevard Service Road)
· Pageantry Street (Bellflower Boulevard Service to San Anseline Roads)
· Iroquois Avenue (Pageantry Street to Josie Avenue)
· Knoxville Avenue (Josie Avenue to Metz Street)
· Nipomo Avenue (Spring to Rosebay Streets)
· Ostrom Avenue (Spring Street Service Road to Nipomo Avenue)
