TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary to amend Contract No. 35671 with W.W. Grainger, Inc., of Lake Forest, IL, for furnishing and delivering maintenance, repair, and operations supplies and related materials for a wide range of fieldwork needs, to increase the annual contract amount by $300,000, with a 20 percent contingency in the amount of $60,000, for a revised annual contract amount not to exceed $1,560,000. DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 35671 with W.W. Grainger, Inc., to continue furnishing and delivering maintenance, repair, and operations supplies and related materials for a wide range of fieldwork needs supporting many departments.
On August 11, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to W.W. Grainger, Inc., as part of its adoption of Resolution No. RES-20-0097 for furnishing and delivering maintenance, repair, and operations supplies and related materials for a period of two years, with the option to renew for as long as the Omnia Partners contract is in effect.
The requested additional procurement authority will ensure continuity of service, and that City of Long Beach Departments have access to maintenance, repair, and operations supplies and related materials for various fieldwork needs.
This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Erin Weesner-McKinley on May 4, 2022, Purchasing Agent Michelle Wilson on April 26, 2022, and by Revenue Management Officer Geraldine Alejo on May 1, 2022.
TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council action to amend Contract No. 35671 is requested on May 24, 2022, to ensure there is no interruption to services.
FISCAL IMPACT
