DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into a contract with All American Asphalt, for the construction of the Market Street Pedestrian and Streetscape Project (Project).

The Project will implement a series of pedestrian and streetscape improvements along the 2.2-mile length of Market Street, from the Los Angeles River to 800 feet east of Cherry Avenue. These improvements include new and upgraded decorative street lighting, parkway landscape and hardscape, new street trees, high visibility crosswalks, transit stop enhancements, curb bulb-outs, ADA-compliant curb ramps, sidewalk repairs, driveway repairs, utility relocations, new street furniture, new fiber optic facilities, wayfinding signage, and roadway pavement rehabilitation.
