TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file report on the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Regional Council Meeting in Los Angeles, October 1, 2009.
DISCUSSION
I would like to take this opportunity to file a report on discussion items at the SCAG Regional Council meeting of October 1, 2009 held in Los Angeles, California.
· President Jon Edney from EI Centro reported on new committee members appointed.
· Various reports given:
Strategic Plan Committee recommended implementation of the new SCAG Strategic Plan;
Legislative Communications and Memberships Committee gave an update;
Executive Administration Committee requested approval of an amendment to contract number 08-056-IN in the amount of $45,000 and contract number 09-008-C1 in the amount of $842,632; and
Transportation Committee reported on the proposed Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center.
My attendance is a requirement as one of 83 elected officials representing 189 cities, six counties, five County Transportation Commissions, Imperial Valley Association of Governments and a Tribal Government representative within Southern California.

Approve recommendation.
