TITLE

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $550 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

 

DISCUSSION

Centro CHA will be hosting two Back 2 School Resource Fairs and Vaccination Clinics at Drake Park (8/19/21) and Orizaba Park (8/24/21). Supplemental funding is needed to support these events such as the park permit fees.

 

STATEMENT OF URGENCY:

Approval of this recommendation is urgent due to one event has already taken place on Thursday, August 19th and the next event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 26th.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to Centro CHA to support their Back 2 School Resource Fair and Vaccination Clinic. The total appropriation increase of $550 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department is offset by $275 of the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds and $275 of the First Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the Citywide Activities Department. The requested action is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
