DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 34032 with Specialized Elevator Service, Inc., for elevator repair and maintenance services, to increase the contract amount by $100,000, with a contingency in the amount of $75,000, for a revised total contract amount not to exceed $1,170,000, and extend the term to June 30, 2021.

At its meeting on September 8, 2015, the City Council awarded a contract to Specialized Elevator Services, Inc., as part of the adoption of Specifications No. ITB PW15-136 for as-needed elevator maintenance and repair, in the amount of $600,000. On April 5, 2016, the City Council approved an amendment to increase the contract by $240,000, which expired on July 31, 2019. On July 14, 2020, the City Council approved to amend Contract No. 34032 to increase the contract amount by $155,000 for a revised amount not to exceed $995,000. The current contract expires on December 31, 2020. City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 34032 to allow for the completion of the procurement process. It is anticipated a new contract will be presented to the City Council for approval by June 2021.
