TITLE
Recommendation to adopt resolution amending Sections 2 and 16 of Resolution No. RES-19-0129, known as the Salary Resolution of the City of Long Beach, to implement the terms of the employment agreement with Thomas B. Modica to serve as City Manager. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
At the April 14, 2020 Council Meeting, the City Council approved an employment agreement with Thomas B. Modica to serve as City Manager. The City Attorney prepared the attached Resolution to implement the salary terms contained in the employment agreement with Thomas B. Modica.
The attached Resolution amends Section 2 of Resolution No. RES-19-0129, relating to salary range number 990 (City Manager) in the Salary Schedule (Attachment D thereto) as follows:
The Resolution also amends Section 16 of Resolution No. RES-19-0129, relating to annual pay adjustments for elected officials, to extend annual pay adjustments to the City Manager beginning on July 1, 2021 and every July 151 thereafter.
