TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriation in the General Fund (GF) in the Legislative Department (LD) by $10,000, offset by the Eighth Council District one-time infrastructure funds transferred from the Capital Projects Fund (CP) in the Public Works Department (PW) to support sponsorship of community events.
DISCUSSION
In accordance with the City's "Procedures for Implementation of Divide by Nine Funding," the Eighth Council District is requesting that $5,000 of its one-time infrastructure funds be transferred over to its FY 18 operating budget to cover sponsorships for community events. Events sponsored include a variety of community events such as the Summer Luvin' Fest music and art festival in Virginia Village, and the summer community concert series, including the Celebrate the Eight(ies) event at Bixby Knolls Park, and the performance by The Band Fresh at Grace Park.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total appropriation increase of $5,000 in the General Fund (GF) in the Legislative Department is offset by a transfer of Eighth Council District one-time infrastructure funds from the Capital Projects Fund (CP) in the Public Works Department (PW).
