TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit two Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay 1) $68,382.50, and also 2) separate authority to pay $5,915 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Rosalie Barber.

DISCUSSION

Rosalie Barber has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on July 24, 2018, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of two Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Rosalie Barber, based upon 1) a 67 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and 2) a 13.25 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
