TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file report on travel to Sacramento, CA on April 8, 2015.

DISCUSSION
On April 8, 2015, I traveled to Sacramento for the State Assembly's Local Government Committee hearing. The committee was considering AB 204 (O'Donnell), which is sponsored by the City of Long Beach, to require oversight boards in Los Angeles County to independently operate beyond July 1, 2016, rather than allowing one single countywide oversight board for successor agency activities.

As the Chair of the City Council's State Legislation Committee, I spoke in support of the legislation, which was approved by the committee on an 8-0 vote.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact with the filing of this report.

Respectfully Submitted,
