DISCUSSION
On January 7, 2014, the City Council adopted a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for grant funding through the California Department of Housing and Community Development, Housing-Related Parks Program, for the replacement of the playground and the rehabilitation of park amenities and park grounds at MacArthur Park, located at 1321 E. Anaheim Street. On August 19, 2014, the City Council accepted and appropriated the award of $553,050 in grant funding.

City Council action is required to adopt the attached Resolution, which specifies the grant award amount of $553,050.

This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Kendra L. Carney on November 13, 2014 and by Budget Management Officer Victoria Bell on November 12, 2014.
