TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute First Amendment to Agreement for legal services between the City of Los Angeles, the City of Long Beach and Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow, LLP (formerly Fox Spillane Shaeffer, LLP). (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
On February 6, 2007 the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement for legal services with Fox Spillane Shaeffer, LLP through a Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Los Angeles for a period commencing on January 4,2007 and terminating on January 3,2010.
The firm is providing joint legal counsel to Los Angeles and Long Beach in connection with the San Pedro Bay Clean Air Action Plan. On May 1, 2007, Fox Spillane Shaeffer, LLP changed its name to Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow, LLP.
The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a first amendment to the Fox Spillane Shaeffer, LLP agreement to reflect the name change to Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow, LLP.
