TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file travel report on League of California Cities 2007 Conference Exposition - "Cities Shaping California's Future," September 4 - 8, 2007, in Sacramento, CA.

DISCUSSION
I would like to take this opportunity to file a travel report as required by AB 1234 for activities consistent with the definition of "official City Business" under the City Auditor's Travel and Reimbursement Policy for Non-AR Departments:

      . Meetings with government and business leaders for the purpose of carrying out official City       business;
      . Non-partisan conferences, training and education trips, including visiting other       governments to discuss and observe best practices;
      . Travel in furtherance of an adopted policy, ordinace or City resolution.

My attendance at the following League of California Cities (LCC) Exposition was authorized in the capacity of the City's membership and my membership in the LCC Environmental Quality Policy Committee.

      League of California Cities 2007 Conference Exposition - "Cities Shaping
      California's Future"
      September 4 through September 8 - Sacramento, CA

This conference provided me with the opportunity to represent the City in a working dialogue that focused on Public Policy and the Environment.

SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

Councilmember Tonia Reyes Uranga, Seventh District
