TITLE
Recommendation to request City Attorney to prepare an amendment to Long Beach Municipal Code Section 10.22.080 (Parking Vehicles For Sale) adding the prohibition of parking "for sale" vehicles on the east-side of Downey Avenue blocks 5800, 5900, and 6000; additionally the east side of Atlantic Avenue between 68th and 70th Streets.
DISCUSSION
Currently section 10.22.080 of the Municipal Code (Parking Vehicles For Sale) prohibits parking of vehicles with signs "for sale" on various streets.
On Downey Avenue in the 5800,5900 and 6000 blocks of North Long Beach on the eastside of this street, parking enforcement has issued 16 warning notices over the last three weeks for parking over the 72-hour code violation. According to our Police Department's records, this area is on their "chronic" list of North Long Beach locations.
In addition, 68th Street and Atlantic Avenue through the 6900 block of Atlantic Avenue has higher stats then reported above.
