TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file minutes for the City Council meeting of June 12, 2007.

DISCUSSION
Beginning with the City Council meeting of June 19, 2007, the City Clerk Department will docket meeting minutes of the preceding meeting.

The aim of our minutes format is to provide the text of the motion, the maker and second of the motion, and the votes taken by the City Council. We present the minutes each week with reliance on the streaming video file for complete capture of the City Council's deliberations on each agenda item. To the extent possible, we also try to provide the first and last names of those speaking during public comment.

In addition to docketing of minutes on each week's Agenda, official draft minutes will also be posted on the agenda website by 12:00 p.m. the Friday after the Tuesday City Council meeting. The official draft minutes, and the time stamp link to the streaming video, can be found at this web link:

We consider the version of minutes contained on the "video archive" web page as our notepad. We use the notepad for drafting of the minutes ultimately submitted for your approval. While the notepad is generally available soon after the Council meeting, its contents should not be considered as official minutes. Official minutes and votes are contained in the Legistar (the City's enterprise wide legislative information management system).

To use the notepad minutes in the video archive, you may follow this link:

In the event of differences between the notepad and Legistar minutes, please defer to the Legistar version.

Should any district offices have questions regarding the minutes we submit each week, we respectfully request that you contact me prior to 12:00 p.m. on the day of the City
Council meeting. With notice prior to the meeting, City Clerk staff can attempt to resolve any questions that you may have bef...
