DISCUSSION
The attached amendment to the Salary Resolution incorporates provisions approved in City Council Adopted Budgets and contains changes necessary for the ongoing administrative process of the City. Many of the changes contained in the amendment will facilitate reorganization and consolidation of departmental activities and are consistent with elements of the Financial Strategic Plan previously approved by the City Council. Attachment A summarizes the proposed changes to the Salary Resolution last adopted by the City Council on October 18, 2005.

TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council approval of the amended Salary Resolution is requested on November 21, 2006, to ensure implementation of operational changes approved with the Adopted Budget.
 
FISCAL IMPACT
There are no significant fiscal impacts from the requested amendment. Appropriation to support these amendments is included in the Fiscal Year 2007 Budget.
