TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute an agreement with legal counsel Fulwider, Patton, LLP to perform legal services pertaining to the City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Water Department in all matters relating to the applications for various patents for a desalination process.
DISCUSSION
The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with the law firm of Fulwider, Patton, LLP, for an additional $50,000, not to exceed $150,000, in order that they may continue to represent the City's interests in the above-entitled matter. This firm was selected to handle this matter since they are uniquely qualified in the area of law required.
