TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Requests for Awards for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $10,175 for the claim of Bill Burney; and $17,297.50 for the claim of Joel Cook, in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Bill Burney has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on October 17, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Bill Burney, based upon a 14 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Joel Cook has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on October 17, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Joel Cook, based upon a 26 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
