I would like to take this opportunity to report to the City Council on the National Latino Congreso on September 6, 2006- September 10, 2006 in Los Angeles, CA.

Some of the topics covered at this event included Voting Rights and Election Reform, Historic Social Justice and Economic Equality, issues relating to the Environment and Healthy Communities. There were several workshops and forums on ethnic politics in America and breakout sessions on state and regional issues . This event covered many topics that will benefit the City of Long Beach.
