TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay sum of $6,500 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Baudelio Contreras v. City of Long Beach, et al., Case No. 06C00070.

DISCUSSION

This lawsuit arises out of an automobile accident on August 21, 2005 in which a Long Beach police officer, in the course and scope of his employment, negligently collided with plaintiff s vehicle. Plaintiff sustained injuries arising out of the accident.

Through negotiations between counsel, a tentative settlement of $6,500.00 was reached, subject to City Council approval.

Approve recommendation.
