Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Requests for Awards for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $47,982.50 for claim of Diana Adamson; $16,742.50 for claim of Margaret Barajas; $68,382.50 and $5,915 (for a total amount of $74,297.50) for claim of James Espinosa; $10,600 for claim of David Garcia; $21,420 for claim of James Howard LaBarba; $15,817.50 for claim of Melisa Shaw; and $74,102.50 and $10,000 to settle Vocational Rehabilitation (for a total amount of $84,102.50) for claim of Gerald Sylvester in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Diana Adamson has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on November 1, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Diana Adamson, based upon a 52 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Margaret Barajas has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on November 1, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Margaret Barajas, based upon a 24 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
