TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file I-710 Council Oversight Committee Report; and transmit comments on the Southern California International Gateway to the Port of Los Angeles.
DISCUSSION
On October 18, 2005, the City Council directed that matters related to the proposed Southern California International Gateway (SCIG) Rail Yard be referred to the 1-710 Oversight Committee with authority to take appropriate action and prepare recommendations for the City Council. The Committee held a public meeting on November 28, 2005 to discuss the proposed project and to receive public comments in response to the Notice of Preparation issued by the Port of Los Angeles. The Committee recommends that the City Council direct the City Manager to transmit comments on the Southern California International Gateway to the Port of Los Angeles.
