TITLE

Recommendation to request City Manager to identify and report back to Council, within 30 days, on all excess revenues, including Transient Occupancy Tax, that are deposited into the City's General Fund; and to direct those funds to restore Library cuts related to hours and materials.

DISCUSSION

Due to budgetary constraints, funding for our libraries has been limited. Ten of our libraries are now open four days a week and only two are open five. Transient Occupancy Tax and other revenues that flow into the General Fund, and are unencumbered, could be partially used to restore our libraries.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
