TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Requests for Awards for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $17,050 for claim of Bill Burney, and $33,320 for claim of Debra Bonesteel-Smith in compliance with the Appeals Board Order.
DISCUSSION
Bill Burney has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on September 6, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Bill Burney, based upon a 19 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Debra Bonesteel-Smith has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on September 6, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Debra Bonesteel-Smith, based upon a 40 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
