TITLE
Recommendation to request City Manager to present a report outlining the timetable for completion and circulation of the airport terminal improvements EIR at the May 3, 2005, City Council meeting.
DISCUSSION
On February 1 and February 8 , 2005 , the City Council considered the
recommendations of the Airport Advisory Commission relative to the proposed
Airport terminal improvements and the scope of the Environmental Impact report
that will be prepared in connection with the project.
As a result of the action taken by the Council , the project proposed for study in
the EIR will consist of improvements for a terminal totaling approximately
102 850 square feet including improvements to the holding rooms, passenger
screening areas , concessions , baggage areas , restrooms , and office space.
In order to fully apprise the Council and the public as to the progress of the EIR
and the proposed project, we am requesting a report outlining the timetable for
completion and circulation of the EIR, including a projected timetable outlning
the dates when it is expected that the Planning Commission and City Council wil
be considering the certification of the EIR and approval of the project.
