TITLE
Recommendation to request report within 30 days from City Manager and County of Los Angeles regarding actions that are being taken to address the physical condition and operations of the Long Beach Courthouse.
DISCUSSION
Weare all aware of the current physical condition of the Long Beach Courthouse. In order to ensure a safe and hospitable environment for citizens and residents who utilize the Long Beach Courthouse, existing structural problems need to be addressed.
Additionally, it is critically important that our City Council work with our county and state government to reinforce the necessity of keeping this vital facility within downtown Long Beach.
Suggested Action: I respectfully request a report from the City Manager and the County of Los Angeles within 30 days regarding what actions are being taken to address the physical condition and operations of the Long Beach Courthouse.
