DISCUSSION
On August 28th, 2021, United Cambodian Community (UCC), AOC7 Neighborhood group and Council District 6, conducted a community event known as Peace and Health Community Gathering at MacArthur Park. This event was hosted by United Cambodian Community and Long Beach Advancing Peace and took place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event featured a resource fair that activated the community by connecting neighbors to resources.

The purpose of the event was to bring peace and support to the community during the pandemic and recent violence in Long Beach and have communities come together. The event was free to everyone which included free lunch, hamburgers, Khmer BBQ from Battambang BBQ and Salvadorian food from Alma Pupusa and lots free giveaways. Which included health resources, school supplies and refreshments for all that attended.

United Cambodian Community is a local nonprofit that has been actively helping the community for over 40 years by offering support with community and business resources.
