TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $5,000 offset by Six Council District One-Time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to CityFabrick for District 6 Dialogue; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $5,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION
Councilwoman Suely Saro would like to provide a contribution to support CityFabrick with District 6 Dialogues. CityFabrick has worked closely with the team at District 6 to put their visions for the District 6 Dialogue into concrete ideas.

The District 6 Dialogue is an opportunity for community members to discuss issues and pressing matters directly with Councilwoman Suely Saro. The virtual conversation is focused on the community’s vision for District 6. The goal is not just for the District 6 team to share information, but to make the event an engaging and meaningful experience for all those involved. These dialogues allow the District 6 team a chance to connect directly with the community for which they are serving. The District 6 Dialogue is also translated to both Khmer and Spanish so that it is accessible to all community members.

CityFabrick is a nonprofit consultant organization based in Long Beach. The nonprofit is focused on reshaping communities in need through collaborative public-interest design, planning, policy development and advocacy. CityFabrick has helped to provide professional services to nonprofit organizations, government agencies and private entities that are dedicated to projects that serve the public good.
