Report on impact of weekend runway closures.

The first of a series of seven weekend closures began on Friday, July 9 Sunday July 11 at Long Beach Airport. These closures were necessary as part of the Main Runway Rehabilitation Project. \Nhile airport staff has been proactively advising the community of the impacts, many residents have questions and concerns about this project.
We would like to request a presentation from the City Manager regarding this closure to find ways to minimize the impacts of future closures. The report should include a summary of complaints or comments received during the first weekend closure and any information gathered regarding noise measurements and significance of the increased decibel levels.
