TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $68,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Karen Cooper.

DISCUSSION

Karen Cooper has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on May 6, 2008, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise & Release by the City and Karen Cooper in the amount of $68,000.00.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
