Recommendation to receive and file report on Mayor Garcia's trip to Washington, D.C.
DISCUSSION
On April 19, 2016, I traveled to Washington, D.C. with the Federal Legislation Committee, as well as staff from the Port of Long Beach, the Long Beach Water Department, and Long Beach Transit, to meet with our Congressional delegation and Federal officials and advocate for the needs of Long Beach. Among the subjects we discussed were the San Pedro Bay Ecosystem Restoration Study, water conservation, economic development, and education.
