TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file an update on implementation of an alternative Emergency Medical Services Staffing model. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
The City's Adopted Budget for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 includes savings attributed to the implementation of an alternative Emergency Medical Services staffing model, or Rapid Medical Deployment (RMD) model. During budget discussions, the City Council directed the Fire Department to provide periodic updates on the status of RMD implementation.
This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Gary J. Anderson and Budget Officer Victoria Bell on November 26, 2012.
