TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $120,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Byron Butler.

DISCUSSION

Byron Butler has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on February 20, 2018, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release in the amount of $120,00.00 by the City and Byron Butler.

Approve recommendation.
