TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute an amendment to agreement with the firm of Richards Watson & Gershon, in the matter entitled Michael Mawn v. City of Long Beach, Case No. CV12-3741.

DISCUSSION

The case was settled on or about January 14, 2014 when City Council approved this office's request for settlement authority.  The outside counsel fees however, remain outstanding.  City Council is now requested to authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the agreement with the firm of Richards Watson & Gershon for an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, in order conclude and resolve this matter in its entirety.

Approve recommendation.
