Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay the sum of $9,000 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Darriel Murphy v. City of Long Beach, et. al.
DISCUSSION
On June 10 , 2004, plaintiff was rear-ended by City employee Greg Adamson while traveling eastbound on Anaheim Street in Long Beach. Plaintiff received medical treatment for his neck, shoulders, and back. Plaintiff's vehicle was considered a complete loss.
At a court-ordered mediation, a settlement totaling $9,000 was reached with plaintiff.
SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.
